At Clover Seeds Education, I specialize in providing research-based professional learning tailored for educators working with multilingual learners in dual language and general education classrooms. The sessions focus on creating communities of practice to enhance instructional strategies and program structures that support multilingualism. I aim to empower educators with practical tools and resources for effective systems of program design, instruction, and assessment with multilingual learners.
I am the co-author of the National Dual Language Education Teacher Preparation "EMMA" Standards© used by educators nation-wide, including state-level education agencies. I have trained nearly 3000 educators in North Carolina and across the US regarding instructional and programmatic design and delivery for language learning--both face to face and virtually. My professional learning programs focus on Dual Language Teaching and Learning, Collaboration and Co-Teaching in Dual Language Programs, and Active Student Engagement. You have access to a range of services for professional development, classroom visits, and specialized teacher coaching. I am also available to conduct larger-scale virtual or in-person training programs with state and district level initiatives. Needing support at the higher education level? I am also highly experienced in working with college and university faculty to assist the development of methods and assessment coursework.

Each year, I attend a variety of webinars and conferences to better help my clients with teacher preparation and support. I have extensive experience with designing and delivering professional learning opportunities for a range of teachers and administrators serving K-12 Dual Language, ESL (ELD), and content area programs. I am also an invited speaker and Keynote presenter at many national conferences such as La Cosecha with Dual Language Education of New Mexico , the Multistate Association of Bilingual Education, Northeast, and the Virginia Dual Language Immersion Day.

Let's work together!
Services include professional learning with teachers, administrators, and others supporting multilingualism. In addition to professional learning sessions I often conduct classroom visits and personalized coaching. Services are available for school/district guidance via curriculum development and dual language program development, polishing, and/or expansion.

I offer a complimentary 30 minute service to go over your goals for professional development. After this initial consultation, I follow up with you to recommend an appropriate service for your needs. Clients include state education agencies, districts, and schools.

I am available for daily professional learning experiences (including virtual settings). We can collaborate to customize professional learning, programmatic support, and/or coaching--based on your goals. I also provide services to guide schools, districts, and state education agencies on collaborative program implementation plans, program evaluations, and more.

A priority is for us to develop shared goals to customize the services you need. I offer complete institute services that range from two-day to full week training institutes which, can be planned for virtual/remote learning. Topics include Collaborative Dual Language Teaching and Learning, Dual Language Programs and alignment with the National Dual Language Education Teacher Preparation Standards, Co-Teaching and Collaboration in DL or ESL, Activating Student Engagement, Project-based language learning in remote settings, implementing the SIOP Model, and site-based coaching.
